Hans J. Wegner’s Ox ottoman mimics the design language of the Wegner Ox lounge chair, which once challenged the notion of Danish design with its masculine form: the rugged shapes and exaggerated proportions of the chair and ottoman differed considerably from the simple and understated lines typical of Scandinavian design at the time. Nowadays part of Fredericia’s collection, the Wegner Ox ottoman also complements the Queen lounge chair of the same collection.
